    I am so utterly frustrated and disgusted with the lack of professionalism and follow through of Hillside Mortuary in Wetumpka, Alabama and more specifically Mr. Yancy Mitchell, owner and proprietor!! I just want to scream so I'm gonna do it here!!! This started back in February when I began trying to order a grave site marker for my mother. I called and called, left message after message. Apparently Mr. Mitchell was the only one at Hillside qualified to take my order. He never returned my calls! I finally got a him on the phone in mid March. We went over my order and he assured me whatever I wanted he could do. I told him that I wanted the marker in place for my mother's family, The Buckhanon Family Reunion in JUNE. No problem Mr. Mitchell says. Boom, I thought my order was in the works!! Several weeks go by and now it's towards the end of April. I haven't heard anything so I start calling again. Again leaving message after message for Mr. Mitchell to return my call. He never did!!! Finally, I catch him in the office and do you know what he says to me!!! So Ms. Purter, what do you want!!! ACTING BRAND FXXXNG NEW!!! I just about lost it then, so he hands me over to someone else to replace my order by this time it is MID MAY and she is telling me it's gonna take 30 DAYS on a RUSH!!! Needles to say, it was not in place for the Buckhanon Family Reunion and they are calling me the day of asking me where to put it!!! Incompetent total lack of regard for the customer!!! I am totally disgusted and disappointed that my mother's nieces and nephews that come from all over the country and will probably not be back to Tallassee Alabama for many years did not see her grave site marker!! Hell, I still haven't seen it and I'm back home in California! All I asked Mr. Yancy Mitchell to do at this point is send me a photo of what it looks like!!! No one at HILLSIDE MORTUARY is responding to my request!!! If, I don't get a photo in the next week, I want a FULL REFUND!!! I can't believe he is still in business!!     I would have to say that this is the most unprofessional funeral home i have ever seen or had the unfortunate experience of dealing with.
    Not only was the building itself discusting, but the people acted as though this was just a family deciding something as simple as what color carpet they wanted in their house. I am apauled that they are even able to hold a business license and operate under the current conditions. I am sad to see my friend at a location such as this.
